How to get rid of drain worms

Given the potential health risks associated with drain worms, it makes sense to get rid of them. Destroying the breeding grounds is the most efficient way to get rid of these worms.

Clean the drain pipes

Scrub the outside of the drain pipes to loosen and get rid of sludge. Clean the inside of the pipes using a metal pipe to remove organic build-up and excess waste, then rinse with hot water.

Enzyme cleaners use enzymes or bacteria that eat through organic material in the pipes destroying breeding grounds.  Examples of enzyme drain cleaners include Green Gobbler, which works as a complete clog-removing kit.
